Photoshop Assignment 2

Image
I not only picked this picture because of Neymar, but because there were some lighter spots, blemishes, and opportunities to practice my photo shopping skills. I first used the quick selection tool to select the subjects hair and then used the Hue/Saturation adjustment to change the colour to purple. I then used the Spot Healing Brush to remove a few blemishes as well as the forehead crease in the original picture. Finally, I used the Burn tool to darken parts of the subjects face where the flash seemed to have reflected. Although the assignment asked to use the Blur tool as well, I did not see it to be fitting in this picture so I decided to leave it out. The result happened to be a portrait of Neymar with purple hair.

Photoshop Editing Assignment 1

I picked this picture as I figured that it would look much better without the person blocking the view. To take him out of the picture, I used the quick selection tool to make a border around the person. I thought it would be very easy to use the quick selection tool, however I encountered a few difficulties. I had to manually zoom in to the picture to fine tune my border as the tool was not perfect. After several tries, I managed to remove the man from the picture by deleting my selection.

This picture of 2 trees at Hilda Ave Park is taken with patterns kept in mind. The silhouette of the 2 bare trees against the morning sky creates a visually pleasing effect. Had the trees not lost their leaves yet, the photo would not have the same aesthetics to it. I further enhanced the picture by increasing sharpness, adjusting the curvature of the Blue and RGB lines, and increasing saturation. The result is a much more vibrant photo. I also cropped the photo to get ride of some unnecessary colour. The picture is well balanced as there are 2 similar trees in the frame side by side.  This is a picture of my bird, Rio. I used the railings of my stairs as a natural frame, and thankfully Rio was cooperating at the time! I did not like this picture at first, but I adjusted a couple things on photoshop which made it a much better picture. For example, I decreased the brightness which gives a 'mysterious' element to the picture, and I also blurred out Rio's disco ball i...

NEW PIC                                                                          ORIGINAL                                                              I took this picture in the garden because it had 2 colours in it, and I figured that I could make one of the colours stand out more. The original picture looked a little dead and dull so I brightened the picture and made the greens more highlighted. The original picture had a purple undertone but the new picture is more green. If I was able to use photoshop better, I would try to take the blue window frame out of the picture.
